Enemy Love Remix EP 2

Louderbach [Underline]

Full credit to London based label Underline.

While the seeds of the current on-form minimal scene were only still sprouting roots in the UK, they were one of the first labels to realize the potential of artists like Troy Pierce and Magda.

After meeting Magda at Miami’s WMC in 2003, the then still up-and-coming Detroit/Polish DJ put the label onto her friend and fellow up-and-coming minimalist Troy.

The end result was Louderbach, Troy’s alias responsible for the deep and moody ‘Enemy Love’ album that became one of the scene’s most significant long players.

Now the album’s key tracks get remixed by some of the scene’s biggest players.

Ellen Allien turns in an essential melodic rethink of ‘Season 6’ that utilizes Troy’s signature rolling arpeggios to their sublime best.

Magda rocks the killer dancefloor cut, remixing ‘Reflected’ into one of her signature releases.

Magda’s sound is one of the most unique in techno right now, built around a love for wobbling funk that borrows heavily from 1980s electro and off kilter, rude as you like synth lines that have made her one of the scene’s key artists.

Ryan Crosson and D.Fine & Nabas complete the package, making this an essential purchase for lovers of tripped out funk.
