We at USB Digital are proud to present you with the debut album of Stephan Panev, just 19 years old but already producing some quality tracks.

Many people know him as “The Guy With The Box” or “Box Head” because he is appearing on live gigs and in photos with a box on his head, as you can see on the image.

We now give you a hot interview with the artist and some information about what is hidden behind the album.

“Elephants Are Precious Animals That Work Together As A Team” is the secret sentence hidden behind the track names. We will never know why Stephan decided to name the tracks that way but we tried to get the answer from him. The album includes 10 songs. The pilot single from the album is “That” and the track includes the theme from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite. Also you can check out the track “Are” where the main “synth” of the track is Stephan’s neighbor drill while they were working on their appartament. And many other interesting sounds on the other tracks. You can even hear the original acid sound from the 90s in “Team”. You can check out the album now.

Hi, how are you feeling now after the release of your album?
I am actually a bit tired and I want to get some sleep but I am working now on the tour so I don’t really know when I will have the chance…

So you are planning also a tour?
Yes, I want to present my works.

What will you play on the tour?
Well I will play a Live DJ set that will include my album and also my older tracks and of course a selection of my favourite tracks of different producers.

Will you play with the box on your head?
Of course.

Sound cool. What is hidden behind the sentence “Elephants Are Precious Animals That Work Together As A Team”?
Haha, I think I’ve heard that question already. Well in the track “Are” the vocal line gives the proper meaning of the sentence and what I wanted to say with “Elephants”.

How long you were working on the album?
About 4 mounths I think but it is a result of gathering ideas and keeping them locked up on my hard drive while working on other EPs and remixes.

What can we expect from you this year?
Well after my album is released I will continue working on other EPs and remixes. I am planning also a remix album of “Elephants” and so on. I will work hard again this is for sure.
