Edison strikes again with ‘Press Repeat’

Rebirth Records have a hot one in the shape of ‘Press Repeat’ from Edison (aka Andy Chatterley from the Buick Project and Skylark).

You may remember the Edison project initially started life less then two years ago with their acclaimed version of Blondie’s ‘Heart Of Glass’; it quickly opened doors, leading to a Grammy Award nomination for his Buick Project remix of the Tracey Thorn-sung Tiefschwarz song ‘Damage’.

Now clubland has embraced ‘Press Repeat’ with a universal thumbs up (or hands aloft, if you prefer) with everyone from Mason and Sasha to Meat Katie and Groove Armada including it in their sets.

Next on the Rebirth schedule is the Droyds’ ‘All I Ever Wanted’; Chatterley and partner Richard Norris (one half of the Grid with Soft Cell synth maestro Dave Ball).

It’s already a must have item in sets from Tiga and Dubfire, while mixes are supplied by Dusty Kid, Robytek vs. Shield and Pilooski.

And before year’s end they’ll also be a NUfrequency single ‘Go That Deep’ featuring the rarely heard vocals of Massive Attack chartreuse Shara Nelson with interpretations from Charles Webster, Redanka and Neon Heights.
