Tensnake, Suite 9 [Players Paradise...

Tensnake has emerged as one of the scene’s brightest new talents this year since his excellent remix of Junior Boys pricked up the ears of discerning DJs across the globe.
For his debut on Dirt Crew’s ever-reliable Players Paradise imprint, he’s hooked up with Suite 9 (aka D.I.M. of Turbo fame) to create a refined, unfussy groover that blends shaky disco drums with a ricocheting electroid pulse.
Tinged with deep, distant chord stabs and the occasional flutter of chimes, it’s a sturdy, effortlessly cool slice of easy-going technoid pleasure.
It may sound fairly unassuming at home, but get it on a soundsytem and you’ll hear exactly why so many people are going crazy for Tensnake’s honest, almost pastoral take on modern tech-house.
For something a bit heavier, check the Cosmic Sandwich version, which employs that evergreen ‘House Of God’ bassline and pristine metallic slivers with typical finesse.
Walking a fine line between lush, Detroit-inspired prettiness and ultra-modern European precision, it’s another fine work from one of the scene’s underrated talents.
Neither version is necessarily designed for peak-time craziness, but if you’re after some quality digital deepness, it’s well worth investigating.
