EZ! The first chapter in drum & bass and dubstep news features for the mighty Beatportal is dropping this very week, and what an exciting week too. Recently the back catalogue for the Metalheadz Platinum series was added to the ever expanding drum & bass catalogue. 

Metalheadz Platinum; a sub label of Goldie’s mighty Metalheadz label featuring the likes of Bad Company’s D-Bridge, Calyx and Total Science is definitely one for anyone who likes Rufige Kru or the darker Commix material.

Watch out for the Shogun Audio back catalogue, another recent addition to Beatport.

Shogun, the brainchild of DJ Friction has been highlighting a wide variety of drum & bass and recently released Jonny L’s ‘Back To Your Roots’, which has been dominating radio stations, play lists and dancefloors over the summer.

Stand out tracks include ‘Old Flame’ and ‘Down the Line’; both by Alix Perez and are beautiful, soulful numbers - strictly for liquid fans.

Released exclusively this week through Beatport is the epic ‘Anatomy’ by Calyx & Teebee through Momentum.

The album transcends monumental landscapes, with layering strings on ‘Ultimatum’ , the fractured, distorted beats on ‘Warrior’ through to the crushing breakdown in ‘Confession’.

An excellent combination of UK and Scandanavian excellence.

Fans of previous Calyx & TeeBee fans will not be disappointed.
