DMC World DJ Championships: Results

Germany, Japan and France now have the best scratch DJs in the world. DJs from the three countries cleared up at the DMC World DJ Championships, which took place last weekend at Indigo2, inside the old Millennium Dome site in London.

German DJ Rafik [pictured] was crowned the winner of the World DJ Championships, closely followed DJ Yasa from Japan and DJ Fly from France.

DJs from those three countries also dominated in the World Team Championships - Japan’s Kireek came first place, team Exodus from Germany came second whilst France’s Trauma Team came third.

Over 25 DJs battled it out on Sunday and had just six minutes to show off their skills.

Ultimately, Germanic wonder DJ Rafik walked away with a deserved $10,000 prize.

US DJ Shiftee won the World Battle For Supremecy - the category in which DJs have to trash-talk their opponents using only their hands and their turntables.

Britain’s JFB came fifth in the World DJ Championships.
