The world’s most minimal mixer?
25 May, 2007 | 5.24PMThe miniature DJ4 mixer has just two volume knobs. Yes, that’s it. In fact, if the DJ4 was any more minimal, all that would be left is an empty box.
The ‘passive’ design of the mixer doesn’t require any power, meaning it can be used with a pair of iPods on a plane or whilst driving through Kansas (in the passenger seat, you crazy kids).
The $70 control box has just two inputs and one output.
With its giant numbers and volume labels fit for the legally-blind, the DJ4 is quite iconic-looking.
But you never know, with the über-hip antics of the electronic music industry, you just might see one of these mixers at a live PA gig...right next to the Wii-remote controller and PSP drum-machine.
