This week comes more proof that UK garage is back for the bam bam, for the reload. North London’s Ms. Dynamite, one of UK garage’s most successful ever artists, has teamed up with drum & bass / breaks producer DJ Zinc for the explosive new single ‘Wile Out’ (video above). It’s safe as!

Like Ms. Dynamite, Zinc took a year or two out of the music scene in the late noughties after he grew tired of music, but now he’s back with a new sound that he likes to call ‘crack house’.

The tag began as a joke - a tongue-in-cheek umbrella term that Zinc used to describe the type of hybrid house he makes and plays - however after listening to ‘Wile Out’ it’s clear that no other sub genre of house really applies. This stuff is next level, blud!

The track’s bouncing urban-flavoured house groove fits somewhere in between speed garage and minimal house, and combined with Dynamite’s customary gritty ragga vocals, it makes for a one hell of a bad boy tune.

It’s no wonder the pirates of London town have gone mad for it, and with Ms. Dynamite’s pop clout (she has previously won two Brit awards and three MOBO awards), the track could become Zinc’s biggest ever hit.

His move into house away from drum & bass, was mirrored recently by jungle protagonist Sub Focus, who dropped an electro house cut ‘Could This Be Real’ recently on RAM Records.
