DJ Kicks by Burial postponed - for good?

In April !K7 proudly announced that London’s enigmatic dubstep maestro Burial was about to mix the next installment of the labels legendary ’DJ Kicks’ series.
Not just the bass-worshipping dubstep posse has held their breath ever since, counting the days ‘till its release.
And it all sounded oh-so-good - exclusive tracks, his favourite dubstep cuts, some techno, maybe even some r’n’b - all processed and mixed up by the man himself.
The anticipation knew no limits.
But now !K7 announced that the album won’t come out just yet.
What happened?
Apparently the shy and unpredictable South London producer is not happy with his mix.
And so he pulled the plug.
As of now it’s unclear what that actually means.
When asked via email last Friday, the !K7 office in Berlin didn’t know about a new release date, commenting that it might come out once Guns ‘N’ Roses long overdue new album ‘Chinese Democracy’ comes out, too.
Since a few songs of that album leaked to the internet a few weeks ago, there may be a light at the end of the tunnel. Just kidding.
One thing is for sure: Whatever happens to the mix CD, and whatever Burial’s reasons for stopping the album’s release might be, once again he has managed to create a major media buzz.
And by doing it, he (probably even incidentally) is feeding the myth surrounding him a little more.
I still wanna hear this damn mix though, so I hope they sort it out soon.
