As though we needed reminding, here’s further proof as to why DJ Harvey is one of our favorite DJs—nay, favorite people—on the planet. He’s a DJ with one of the most generous spirits in all of dance music, but he’s also a man who knows the meaning of limits.

In a companion video to the forthcoming RA Exchange podcast, the Sarcastic Disco don invites viewers into Mophonics Studios, where his soon-to-drop Locussolus album was made. A few choice tidbits:

“I know you’re Japanese, but I’m sure you understand what ‘Get the f**k out of my face’ means!”

“Look man, I really can’t have a conversation right now. It might look like I’m just standing here being really cool, but I’m in a complete state of f**king panic, for the next eight hours, trying to decide what record’s going on next and keep all you guys happy.”

Why would anyone want to spoil their night by knowing what record’s coming next? It’s like opening a book to the back page, you dumbass!”

DJ Harvey: surfer, crate-digger, truth-teller. He’s like a combination of Pied Piper, Zen master, and total badass. How do we get a life like his?
