Dino Lenny Goes solo as Frenetica

After two decades of productions such as ‘I Feel Stereo’, ‘Bucci Bag’, ‘Change The World’ and ‘Work this Pussy’, Dino Lenny [a] thanks Yoshitoshi, Southern Fried & Free2Air and goes solo with a brand new digital label called Frenetica [l].

His first release ‘Give Me the Bill’ is already being played on BBC Radio1 and has big supporters as James Zabiela, Dusty Kid, Kissy Sell Out, Nic Fanciulli and Jon Carter.

Let’s hear from the man himself what Frenetica is all about.

Why did you decide just now to start your own label?

Well, Frenetica on vinyl has been around for three years, but tracks these days are more approachable on the net.

Not having a limit of versions for each release helps DJs to find the mix that suits them, that’s why we relaunched our label on Beatport.

With your first release you only have two versions, but you could have done it the old way, just with a vinyl.

I will only put out a vinyl every two releases for plastic lovers.

Plus, ‘Give Me The Bill” sounded fat enough after the first version, the dub was only made for those that don’t like playing vocals.

So what is Frenetica about?

I like to call it “loud adventurous electronic music"… with a twist!

Do you know what the next release is going to be?

Well I have planned the next three releases.

We will start uploading our catalogue with a brand new mix, the next one will be MAD8 ‘Work This Pussy 2008’ with mixes by Andrea Doria and Dino Lenny - a proper club tool and a classic anthem in Ibiza.

You are also collaborating with many DJ’S like Benassi, Tv Rock, Meck etc.  Are you planning to release stuff from them on your label?

At the moment the label is more about me having fun pushing my favourite buttons in my studio with no pressure and not having to argue with anybody else (apart from TAZ my studio partner), but from our first release it seems that quite a few friends are having fun too..

Enjoy Frenetica ;)
