Did Anyone Order a Pizza?

Did Anyone Order a Pizza?

After being confirmed that I was dating a male-stripper, I decided to not continue dating Mr. Chip n’ Dale.  As much fun as it was to look at him and to make out with him (don’t judge – you think I’d let him go without messing around for just a little minute??? C’mon, he was half Italian, half Thai!), I realized that there was only so much fun I could have with a guy in that profession. After a few of dates with him, I let him down easy, letting him know that I was getting back together with my ex (that was a lie).

At the thought of getting ready to jump back into the dating game, I cringed and thought that I shouldn’t be hasty.  Rather, I should be perfectly happy spending the evening at Milla’s apartment watching romantic comedies, give each other pedicures, and drinking a pitcher of sangria.  As torturous as it may seem, watching romantic comedies give us women hope that life will go on.  That there would be someone out there that’ll love us the way we want to be loved.  That it’s not the end of the world.

Two Meg Ryan movies and a box of tissue later, I decided that I had my sappy fix for at least the next couple of weeks.  I said goodbye to Milla and as I made my way out of her apartment complex, I noticed a pizza delivery guy in the distance walking towards Milla’s apartment.  I thought that it was odd that the delivery guy didn’t park right in front of the complex for an easy drop off, but didn’t give it much thought.

Approaching the mysterious delivery guy, I noticed the familiar facial structure, the hair, the stature… And then I realized… it was Mr. Chip n’ Dale!  At that precise moment, he realized that it was me and a wave of uneasiness swept the parking lot.

After an uncomfortable exchange of ‘hellos’ and ‘what-the-fuck-are-you doing-here-dressed-like-that?’ (primarily from me to him) we said our goodbyes and ended our night. Apparently he was ‘working,’ with his pizza delivery guy costume as his bait to an unsuspecting bachelorette party in the same building as Milla’s.

I laughed at the whole scenario this morning when I woke, and am sure I’ll laugh plenty more as time wears one.
