Two years ago Berlin-based label and distributor Diamonds & Pearls Music released the excellent ‘Silverbird Casino’ compilation.

The compilation was an attempt to capture the essence of Berlin’s kaleidoscopic musical landscape with tracks from Ricardo Villalobos, Henrik Schwarz, Cassy, Soundstream, Dimbiman, Matt John, Sleeparchive, EAT and Luciano (who was still living in Berlin back then), all delivering exclusive material.

Word has it that a second compilation will see the light of day in autumn this year.

While a name for the followup is still to be announced, the names of the contributing producers are confirmed, and again it reads like it’s going to be an outstanding compilation: Henrik Schwarz, Efdemin, Prosumer & Tama Sumo, Dinky & Matthew Styles, Pier Bucci, Radio Slave, EAT and Half Hawaii (Sammy Dee and Bruno Pronsato).

The eight tracks will be available on four consecutive EPs and one CD.

Sounds like something to look out for, so watch this space.
