DFA introduces Supersoul Recordings ‘Nobody Knows Anything’

As an international offshoot of New York’s DFA, Berlin-based Supersoul Recordings releases its debut, double CD compilation album titled, ‘Nobody Knows Anything’ - a collection of genre-blending tracks compiled from their vinyl and digital releases in the first two years of the label’s existence.

Headed by Xaver Naudasher, this debut release pulls inspiration from the foundations of electronic music, creating a wide and divergent mix of Krautrock, italo-disco, and electro, tinged with Chicago and Detroit influences.

DFA’s sublabel Death From Abroad was founded based on the desire to broaden its international reach and focus on new, non-US based talent, and Supersoul/Kompact are fthe byproducts of that intention. 

As is part of Supersoul’s theme, this album highlights each contributing artist’s individuality in a blend of hypnotic and rolling atmospheric electro soundscapes that translate easily on or off the dancefloor.

Naudascher, whom you may recall of Terranova (!K7 and Compost) fame, has released several 12"s, having either worked with or remixed for Paul Mogg (Psychonaut), Walter Jones, and UNKLE to name a few.

Additionally, he’s had a long-standing penchant for film and runs Supersoul Productions, an outfit dedicated to the writing and production of music for film, commercials and pop artists. 

His work includes the mixing of the Run Lola Run soundtrack and the receipt of a platinum award for production for German pop artists Die Fantastischen Vier.
