London party crew DDD are gearing up to celebrate their 6th birthday this weekend with an intimate, moustache-themed party at a secret eastern location.

Residents Simon Baker, Simon Morell, Ryan Shaw and Mat Playford will be looking to maintain the underground yet friendly atmosphere that was synonymous with their initial gatherings, as Morell explained: “The first party we ever did was in a small basement in Shoreditch with just the residents and all our friends.

“The party was amazing so we thought why not re-create that vibe for the sixth birthday - keep it cheap and concentrate on celebrating what’s important to us; our family of ace residents and our friends who have been coming to the party for the last six years.”

The semi-regular event has proved to be a worthy alternative to the capital’s larger, established clubs, giving Londoners a healthy dose of quality house and techno, provided by guest international DJs in obscure locations.

“We’ve had loads of guests over the years so it’s hard to remember who we’ve had on,” reflected Morell. “Two that stand-out were Trentemoller’s UK debut where we had a 1000 people in the club by 11pm, and John Tejada playing live in a railway arch - that was also amazing!”

Saturday’s capacity is limited to 300 with a small number tickets available through www.ticketweb.co.uk
