Dave Angel is back with ‘Taurus’

Dave Angel returns to the Detroit techno sound that helped establish him as the UK’s leading exponent in the 1990s with the low-tech ‘Gemini’ and ‘Taurus’ for his Niah imprint.

At times his sound is reminiscent of the groundbreaking (and still highly relevant) Thee Maddkatt Courtship releases, one of the more consistent pseudonyms from Chicago producer Felix Da Housecat.

‘Taurus’ in particular sounds like it would have found a home on his Radical Fear label a decade ago.

Yet neither of these zodiac labeled tracks are old skool - just right for yesterday, today and tomorrow.
