Said to be this year’s ‘Exceeder’, or even ‘Put Your Hands Up For Detroit’, Data show why they’re the label with the Midas touch by shrewdly signing ‘Heater’ by Samim.
Already doing the rounds (and available now on Germany’s Get Physical Music label), this has been one of the most talked about records on the White Island in recent months.
The universal appeal has seen it embraced by everyone from underground dance legends Carl Cox and Sven Vath, to daytime plays on Radio 1 by Zane Lowe and Jo Whiley.
Pete Tong even hailed the ridiculously simple track, built around a deep minimal techno bassline and a highly addictive accordion hook, as his Essential New Tune.
You have been warned!
You should also watch out for Amathus Music, the label that has just released a trio hot new projects by Kelita, Power 2 Move and Damian Wild.
Model and new recording artist, Kelita, is behind ‘I Like To Feel The Beat’, Power 2 Move delivers the funky house track ‘All Through The Night’ featuring Amber Dirks’ infectious diva vocal and Damian Wild is behind the edgy US radio-primed dancer ‘Over Now’.
