That’s right: having evolved beyond their early days, mastering a kind of baroque-styled two-step on labels such as MG77 and Clandestine Cultivations, they really found their calling when their 2009 release “Aidy’s Girl Is A Computer” was voted the #2 record of the year by Resident Advisor.
Taking influence from modern eclectic, electronic sounds, Darkstar have definitely taken two steps to the left of their original dubstep inspirtions and produced a beautiful and surprising album, North, which resolutely sets itself apart from the pack.
