Danse En France (D.I.M. Remix)
Fischerspooner [Kitsune]

D.I.M. produce a rather disgusting mix of the cutely-titled ‘Danse En France’.
They butcher it left, right and centre to create something comparable to the deep sea mutations caused by French nuclear testing.
The cut-away before the drop is awesome, to be fair to D.I.M.
If it wasn’t so heart-wrenching and emotional, the filthy drop wouldn’t work as well.
It sounds like D.I.M. have broken out the Native Instruments plug-ins for this beast, with tons of spectral processing audible.
The vocal, saying, “Danse en France” repeats hypnotically, before everything reaches a crescendo when the words, “I like to dance this way!” roll out of the speakers.
What happens next?
Well, bass bombs - tons of them - rolling downwards on the pitch scale as if they were the result of a bombardment big enough to wipe out a small city.
The beats are funky as fuck, tight enough to cause a ruckus.
The distortion is right in your face - fuzzy and electric - but D.I.M. really make this production tick by playing it out in a disguised, funky melody.
It sounds like noise, but it’s actually part of a calculated composition.
There’s another electro house remix on this release by Oliver Koletzki.
This is highly-charged but more techno in style, due to its Moog-like arpeggiator on the 16ths.
It plays out in monotone, but on the drop starts to progress into a satisfying hook complemented by infectious, charismatic male vocals.
Mariachi horns also make an appearance, which are layered with buzzing synths, and sound fantastic.
Don’t miss out on this extraordinarily hooky electro house production, which sounds as good on the car stereo as it does in a club.
