Danny Howells breaks silence with ‘Mix Collection’ for Renaissance

Despite being a globally-recognised DJ, British jockey Danny Howells has had a surprising lack of solo productions.

His 2004 hit collaboration with Dick Trevor ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ showed he had some serious musical talent behind the deck persona, but since then he’s hardly popped his head into the studio.

That is set to change when Renaissance releases the next installment of their famed ‘The Mix Collection’ series.

As the DJ tasked with compiling the influential mix CD, Danny Howells has included not one, not two, but seven exclusive tracks and remixes.

No promos of the mix have been sent out yet, but hopefully it’ll herald in a new era of Danny Howells solo productions.

We expect the mix to take in the whole rainbow of house music, as Danny Howells is known for digging deeper than most.

“I have utmost respect for Renaissance, having maintained the highest quality of product since their inception, and never letting that quality slip,” said Danny Howells.

“Renaissance has, in my eyes, always stuck to what they believe in.

“The end result is a lot deeper than I’ve done before… it’s a lot more melodic. It’s all the music that I love.”

‘Renaissance: The Mix Collection – Danny Howells’ is set for release sometime in September 2008.
