Dancing In Dark Rooms

Quivver [Boz Boz]

John Graham is a producer that has seemingly been around since acid house year zero.

A versatile talent whose forays into such genres as drum ‘n’ bass and indie rock back in the day, whilst overlooked by many were nothing short of excellent.

Over the years he’s collaborated with the who’s who of dance music talent, ranging from Sasha and Parks & Wilson through to Rowan Blades and the eccentric Michael Thomas, better known as Blackwatch.

It’s his production work as Quivver [a] that has brought him the most recognition, and while he’s a talented singer himself, he has opted to focus on the production and let someone else take centre stage for his latest single ‘Dancing in Dark Rooms’.

From the range of mixes on offer, the original highlights his masterful handling of layered keys and bass sequences, while the excellent Jim Rivers mix strips the track down to its foundations, creating a sublime tech-edged interpretation reminiscent of his own ‘Restore’.

Further mixes from German wunderkind Boris Brejcha and a deliciously dark dub from Quivver himself are just two of the many mixes included on this great single, which ranks right up there with some of Graham’s classic tracks from years gone by.
