Dance-floor ammo: ‘Sandwiches’

Dance-floor ammo: ‘Sandwiches’

This is weirdest tech-house lick you’ve ever heard.

Actually, I take that back, the one I heard last night featuring samples of E.T. flirting with Elliott takes the trophy, but this is still weird as sh*t…

This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t love ‘Sandwiches’.

It makes me feel really naughty, like I want to grab the nearest pair of buns and smear them with salad dressing.

Here is a cool excerpt of the lyrics in this track by Detroit Grand Pubahs:

“You can be the bun, and I can be the burger, girl.

Beatportal: feeding the masses

I know you wanna do it, but we can make sandwiches.

So make your thighs like butter, eat it and spread it, so we can make sandwiches.

Out here on the dance floor, come on, we can do it.”

Again, this is a favourite of my super-duper hero Claude VonStroke, and features some nicely processed 808s and chunky bass.

Scope track 4 in the Beatport Player.

No sandwich jokes now, Beatporters…
