Dance Anthem: Tomas Andersson ‘Washing Up’ (Tiga Mix)

Swedish producer Tomas Andersson [a] shot to international stardom with his stupidly fun electro house record ‘Washing Up’ which, thanks to a mix from Tiga [a], became one of the biggest tracks of 2005.

The first time I heard ‘Washing Up’ was at Glade Festival in England, and when the beat dropped after the huge breakdown, the tent went insane.

There’s quite a funny story about Tomas Andersson and his life before ‘Washing Up’.

When ‘Washing Up’ became a huge hit, Andersson was still only producing music as a hobby and he had a day job as a security guard in a museum.

The irony of a museum security guard (who’s supposed to stop people from making noise) being behind one of the noisiest dance tracks ever produced still makes me smile today.

The Tiga Mix is the best, check it in the player below.
