Dance Anthem: Nalin and Kane ‘Beachball’

Trance and house don’t normally sound good when melded together, but Nalin and Kane ‘Beachball’ managed to bridge the gap between glowsticks and heels in 1997 and was featured on loads of compilations from both genres.

Many will consider ‘Beachball’ as a trance classic, but it is so far removed from the standard trance being released today that it’s difficult to tarnish it with the same brush.

The Extended Vocal Mix [track No.2 in the player after the jump] is the one that does it for me.

With its inviting female vocals, bongo rolls and the all important waves sample ‘Beachball’ is the perfect track to chill dance too.

What’s chill dance you say? It’s a dance move I just made up - it’s when you dance like you normally do, but you’re chilling too, letting the music flow through you and become a part of you, just like how you might let the waves on a beach splash over your hot body and take control of your movement.
