Dance Anthem: Evolution ‘Walking On Fire feat. Jayn Hanna’

In 2001 John Digweed was crowned No.1 DJ in the world in DJ Magazine’s annual Top 100 DJs poll, which was around the same time that progressive house blew up.

One of Digweed’s biggest tracks from that period was Evolution ‘Walking On Fire’ which featured the vocals of Jayn Hanna.

Released on John Digweed’s own Bedrock Records, the track was an anthem at his monthly Thursday night Bedrock events at Heaven in London for months before it was eventually released in June 2002.

With its haunting female vocals and dark bass warbled beats, it’s one of the greatest progressive house tracks of all time.

The Bedrock dub mix is very good, but I prefer the original with its fuller vocal.
