Chicane ‘Saltwater’: Dance Anthem

Featuring the vocals of Máire Brennan from Grammy Award-winning Irish group Clannad, Chicane’s ‘Saltwater’ is perhaps one of the most beautiful trance tracks ever released.

The song is based on Brennan’s vocals from Clannad’s track ‘Theme From Harry’s Game’, but Brennan herself re-recorded the vocals especially for the track.

By the release of ‘Saltwater’ in 1999 Chicane aka Nick Bracegirdle was already a star, having first hit the charts in 1996 with the trance anthem ‘Offshore’.

‘Saltwater’ itself reached No.6 in the UK Top 40 charts and has since be included on countless Ibiza and trance compilations.

The Irish tourism board even included ‘Saltwater’ on a UK-wide TV advert.

Chicane is due to re-release his first album ‘Far From The Madding Crowd’ soon, which will also include new remixes of ‘Offshore’.
