Daft Punk to score the new Tron

French dance duo Daft Punk have reportedly been signed up to write the score for Disney’s forthcoming Tron 2.0 movie, according to Upcoming Film Scores blog.

The film is the sequel to the 1982 classic which was scored the first time around by the legendary Moog exponent Wendy Carlos.

Bangalter and de Homem-Christo have had previous involvement in a number of films although Tron 2.0 will be their first official full feature score.

The film is due for a release sometime in 2011.
