Daft Punk are one of the most successful dance music acts of all time.

The productions of the French duo of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo are considered essential to the development of the French house scene, and when ‘Around The World’ was released in 1997, the track received widespread praise and was a huge commercial success.

Daft Punk’s video for ‘Around The World’ was directed by Michel Gondry, and features robots walking around a circular platform, athletes walking up and down stairs, as well as skeletons and mummies.

This is meant to be a visual representation of the different musical elements in the track.
