Cratedigger Essentials: Cyantific

Cratedigger Essentials: Cyantific

Having traversed the drum & bass spectrum now for the past 10 years, Cyantific (aka Jon Stanley) sees his latest record, ”Infinity," released on the legendary RAM Records.

Featured on the new edition of the Dimensions series along with tracks from Wickaman & RV, June Miller and newcomer Rene LaVice, the EP is a collection of upfront, floor-filling drum & bass quality. We caught up with Jon to quiz him about his all-time favorite classics for our Cratedigger Essentials feature.

Syncopix - 8 Bit Blues [Hospital Records]

I love the mixdown on this. It’s about five years old but it still really works to play out. Chunky fun!

Culture Shock - Vice Chase [RAM Records]

This was the first Culture Shock tune I heard. The drums are amazing, and the way the bass sounds bounce off each other makes the tune.

Brookes Brothers - F Zero [Breakbeat Kaos]

I don’t think there are enough tunes like this—musical, dancefloor and in no way cheesy. It’s really well put together and produced, and still gets played in my sets often.
