The word “cheese” has long since been used in the negative connotation to describe music.

With tongue firm in cheek, Cozzy D and Berwick Street Records throw the rule book out of the refrigerator on ‘Cheese Dreams’.

Cozzy D, one half of the D DUB production outfit (whose ‘Genesis’ has just been licensed to the latest Global Underground compilation series), returns without a whiff of fromage to be smelt.

The mixes include the Original Extra Mature Mix, Timo Garcia & the Cheshire Catz Funky Blue Cheese Remix, a Wonky Wensleydale Remix by Ninja Cowboys & Ed Kane and Kid Dub’s Full Smoked Cheese Remix.

It’s a taut blend of minimal, and at times ethereal, techno music laced with menacingly haunting chords.

Supporters so far include Ricky Stone, Mark Knight, Martijn Ten Velden, Lee Cabrera, Graham Gold and Paul Jackson — who between us, know how to spot a good tune.
