It’s a busy month for Corsair Records with two releases in September by Casino and IDC, respectively.

‘Floorshaker’, by the former, was a recently named ‘Essential Leftfield Single of the Week’ in Update Magazine and picks up where their foot-stomping ‘Running On Back To You’ left off.

Casino is another Northern Soul flavored delight (the group’s name is surely a homage to the legendary Wigan Casino and former home of Northern Soul in the UK) that just makes you wanna dance all night long.

You couldn’t get more of a polar opposite than with IDC’s ‘Akai Elvis’.

The song is built around ravey synths with steady, pounding drums.

‘Floorshaker’ is echoing the kind of instant pop acclaim as crossover outfit LCD Soundsytem; its popularity cannot possibly avoid the same saturation levels.

It’s another fast success - big, bold, brash and boomboxtastic!
