Oh man what a chill!
Beatport’s leading chill out label Cold Busted released a new album!

Cuisine Deluxe is the debut album of spanish/belgian and euh.. yes I believe german producer Bahia Deluxe!!

Bahia Deluxe, a belgian/german producer who lives in Mallorca,
one of the Balearic Islands in Spain, released his debut album Cuisine Deluxe.

Denver’s super label Cold Busted, the chill out chart Master, signed this burger of chill out music.

Cuisine, french for kitchen, is a good word to describe this release.
A mixture of hiphop & funk all spiced up with electronic influences.
A true chef at work.
He manipulates ordinary sounds with distortion and decrushing bits adding fat beats and harmonic melodies.
With the result his own signature sound!

Here is what I thought of the tracks:

Cyborg cruise, takes you on a electronic travel to dark lands where
Christian Bale would chill..

96 Bars of dopeness, well I counted, it is 96 bars exactly (correct me if
I’m wrong) pure hip hop, cut up samples and heavy bass.

Chickenburger, one of my favourites! Very original and a perfect mix of a 60’s organ, beats and well timed breaks.
If there’s a hit on this album it has to be this one!

Cesar’s loop, when you listen you understand the title, Julius Cesar’s
trumpets on a chill loop, just like the salad. Yeah it all makes sense. lol

Slumcat, we all know slumdogs, so this should be different? Nope, indian sample attached.

Beat royal, must be THE hamburger of the album, dope beat, hypnotizing pianos.. as a bonus there’s also a track called Beat Royal without cheese.
Almost the same track but without the beat, very CHILL.

Anjuna Beach Thriller, a 7 minutes hypnotizing djembe, rolling
electronic beats, dark piano and a fantastic melody! Anjuna is one of the
most beautifull beaches of the world and so is this track!
Let your imagination flow and enjoy the dark sides of Anjuna…

Magical Seaweed, some people use it in the kitchen, others smoke it, but
it’s mainly to protect our beaches! Let us not forget that :)

Space Jar, let’s go to space, Bahia Deluxe brougth a fat bass, pickled
beats, and some salted electronic elements.

Chilled guitar, open a Bud, sit back and relax!

What a life, yeah what a life.... :) this track is so happy it brings back
life to all lifeless creatures who forgot to enjoy life! Except those who really can’t enjoy life because of some serious health issues. Ooops sorry but hé that’s life!
