Cocoon Remix Contest featuring Guy Gerber

Cocoon Remix Contest featuring Guy Gerber

The choice was clear when Beatport asked its community to decide which Cocoon track they would like for their next remix contest. After a week of voting between Dinky’s ‘Acid In My Fridge’, Extrawelt’s ‘Titelheld’ and Guy Gerber’s ‘Timing’, the scales were tipped well in favor of Guy Gerber’s tune, which received more than half the total votes.

The opportunity

Starting July 13th, 2010, Beatport users are able to download the remix parts of Guy Gerbers’s ‘Timing’, remix it, and upload their finished track to Beatportal for the voting round.

The prizes

The winners will be divided into 2 categories; 10 user voted (based on the highest number of spins) and 10 editor’s favorites (picked by Beatport’s internal music staff). From these 20 nominees, Cocoon and Guy Gerber will choose their favorite winning remix, to be released on their label as well as receive a $200 Beatport gift card and Native Instrument’s Maschine.

The entry with the highest number of spins (highest user voted remix) will also be awarded:
- $50 Beatport gift card
