Circle Traps: Mirrors and Monuments

London-based experimental bass artist Subeena recently picked up on production trio Circle Traps‘ ambient-influenced work and instantly signed it to her Opit Records label.

From their debut EP for the label comes “Mirrors and Monuments,” a gentle electro-acoustic odyssey into lush audio-scapes that explodes into full-body bass music; it’s vaguely reminiscent of Four Tet remixing Talk Talk. Check out the full EP here.

The video, produced by Steven McInerney, was shot on Super 8 in Finland, Ireland and the UK and embodies the four elements—fire, wind, water and earth—using organic flashes and analog feedback to create the visual aesthetic for the track.
