Cinematic Label
5 July, 2010 | 9.52AMThe first instalment of exclusive guest mixes to be featured in our podcast comes from Cinematic Recordings
and Shack Music Recordings
label figuredhead Soy Mustafa Kemistry
.
Already carving a niche with edgey electronic sounds, Soy delves into futuristic soundscapes kickstarting proceedings with a lyrical outlay thats both thought provoking and light in its humour setting the whole mood of a slamming mix. Soy goes onto say
“I decided to do something less conventional than a straightforward club DJ mix and wanted to really lay down a low key affair of things that I’m feeling right now. The whole thing starts with something by Paradox called the Divine Dichotomy which contrary to many teachings challenges the whole concept in peoples belief systems…and whilst I dont want to engage in that whole mindset its something that appealed to me in challenging whats real and whats being fed to us. Other than that its a pretty moody mix to being with and gets pretty in your face at the halfway mark…enjoy!!!”
