Christopher Lawrence Headlines Opulent Temple Benefit at Ruby Skye on Friday March 13th.

has described Burning Man as the “greatest experience of my life”. This unique one week festival, takes place in the Nevada desert in September and attracts crowds in excess of 50,000 people from around the world.
DJ Mag recently published a six page article on Burning Man, saying:
“Burning Man is like a parallel universe. It’s from another time and place, another dimension. By day it’s Mad Max under a scorching desert sun. As night falls and the temperature drops it’s Close Encounters of The Third Kind meets Disneyland on acid scorched with Pagan undertones.” (Lesley Wright)
One important aspect of Burning Man is the music. Christopher Lawrence played Burning Man’s most loved sound stage Opulent Temple in 2007 and 2008, and plans to return again in 2009… if the organizers can raise the funds to produce the stage. Opulent Temple is non profit, which means that everyone who works or Djs on the stage (from Carl Cox
and Paul Oakenfold
to Christopher Lawrence) does so for free.
To help make Opulent Temple happen again in 2009, Christopher Lawrence will play a benefit for the Opulent Temple at Ruby Skye, San Francisco’s #1 club, on Friday March 13th.
If you are in the Northern California area, be sure to come along to support Opulent Temple.. and also catch ‘America’s Best DJ’ in action!
