Chris Lake roars into The Official Music Week Club chart’s #1 Spot

For industry insiders, the Music Week charts are like looking into a musical crystal ball.  Gathering information from DJs up and down the country, the boffins at MW tot up how much play each promo record receives, then place them against each other in a chart.

Probably the best indicators of how well a track is going to do on release, mid-week sees producers, record label bosses and industry execs awaiting the lists with baited breath.

So when house producer Chris Lake heard his latest red-hot single If You Knew was in at #1 in the Club Charts, we suspect he might have had something a bit stronger in his morning tea to celebrate!

Speaking to us over his cornflakes, Chris said, “Brilliant news! I’m so chuffed it’s gone down as well as it has. It seems to me that this record has struck a chord with so many people. A big thank you to every one for your support! Now bring on the 9th Feb!”

With just over three weeks until If You Knew receives its official release, and reports like this coming in from the tastemakers, could we be looking at a potential Top 40 entry for Chris?
