All hail SebastiAn the new King of France.

With the news of the last few months having been dominated by the economic downturn, you might have overlooked the fact that the French have crowned a DJ as their sovereign leader - Bastille day has been replaced by SebastiAn day.

OK, the French aren’t really that silly, but SebastiAn really is that talented.

His production style has set the template for electronic indie music on a worldwide level, and his list of remix credits is longer than the Channel Tunnel.

Kelis, Mylo, Bloc Party, Freeform Five and Sebastien Tellier have all been touched by the hand of SebastiAn.

And here he remixes The Kills ‘Cheap and Cheerful’ into a chunky electro breaks monster with Alison Mosshart’s sultry, gothic vocals making this track accessible and fun.
