It’s an all-too-common tale: You’re at the company Christmas party, you have a few too many egg nogs, and the next thing you know, you’re waking up in jail with your shoes on the wrong feet.

On “Prison”, the new single from BBC 1XTRA host Charlie Sloth, the irreverent MC tells this story and how he survived.  And like a hangover drilling through your temples, the song is treated to a dubstep remix by Cottonmouth, whose wobbling resonant basslines will send you running to the medicine cabinet.

Available November 30 on Beatport, the track comes out on Permanent Damage Records. “The marriage between hip-hop and dubstep is getting stronger and stronger,” says label manager Andy Smith. “The Dead Prez remix of Bigger Than Hip Hop by WTF was one of the year’s best tracks, and we love what Cottonmouth and Charlie have come up with on this single.”
