Free outdoor raves are always fun - this Saturday New York City’s Central Park will witness a free dance party organised by Electronic Music Umbrella (EMU). 

The fifth annual installment of their Festivus Holiday will see DJs Hector Romero, DJ Exacta (check out his music in the player below), Steven Lee (Lee Cabrera) and Alex Pearce spin from 3pm - 8pm on the Great Hill.

This is the second year that Festivus has taken over Central Park.

Beatportal thinks it’s about time someone applauded EMU, which is a non profit urban grassroots movement dedicated to publicly promoting the art and culture of electronic music.

For the last five years the organisation has created open spaces for people to dance in daylight to cool electronic music, and all the companies directors volunteer their time and resources for diddly squat.

This year there will be an afterparty at club Love from 9pm onwards.
