Can’t afford a Lemur? Use your iPhone instead

Beatportal user Tom Phillipson got in touch with us recently to highlight his video demo on YouTube which illustrates a Mod he built for his Novation 25SL Compact, which extended the controls of the MIDI keyboard to include his iPod Touch.

Tom used the TouchOSC app that allows you to send and receive Open Sound Control messages over a Wi-Fi network. Sweet.

“It’s just like having a Lemur, only infinitely cheaper and the mod is completely reversible,” said Tom.

“It extended the functionality of an already very useful keyboard. Plus, no keyboards were harmed in the making of this video.”
