Boogie Down (Remixes)

‘Boogie Down’ touch down this month, and with each one you get two very different flavours.
The DJ Delicious remix is best described as bumpin’.
The beat bumps relentlessly and will have dance floors freaking out if you drop it in your set.
It’s punctuated with loads of off-kilter percussion and syncopated shuffles that really add to the vibe.
DJ Delicious’ remix is deep too – ‘Deeper than my grave G’, like the Notorious B.I.G once said – because it leans towards a filtered, low-fi techno style, and as such it sounds fucking ace.
Moving onto the Fedde Le Grand
remix, here you get a much more commercially friendly number.
Play this in The End on a Layo and Bushwacka! special and the crowd will love it; play it down Bar Fly in Camden on a Friday night and you’d get the same response.
It’s funky, uplifting and sexy – complete with some cute computery synth melodies that hop in after the first few phrases.
The beats are much more cutting than the DJ Delicious remix, and the styling is more electro than techno, and therefore you have a well-rounded release in all here.
