Bomb alert! British champion and Space Ibiza resident Paul Woolford will drop a remix of Morgan Geist’s ‘The Shore’ next week, the standout vocal disco cut from the Metro Area man’s solo LP from last year ‘Double Night Time’.

Woolford’s remix takes the original (listen to it in the player below) on a floaty electro trip that’s full of organic percussion, but the soulful male vocal remains fully in tact creating a blissful, low-slung dancefloor trip that’s likely to gain favour with house DJs who like subtlety and electro-disco fans who like atmospherics. Think Carl Craig’s Grammy nominated remix of Junior Boys ‘Like A Child’, but more drifting.

Word has it too, that Woolford’s next single ‘Dystopia’ is currently being considered by Dubfire for a future SCI+TEC Digital Audio release, and if it does get signed, it’ll bring a fresh electro-tech sound to the US jock’s imprint.

We heard a sneak peak of ‘Dystopia’, and can confirm that it’s a chunky electro cut with blistering snare rolls and quite different to the uptempo percussive bleep-ridden techno that the label has become known for.
