Bodycrash

Buy Now [La Mode]

‘Bodycrash’ is big.

Where to start?

Let’s tee off with the lead melody, because it’s severely f*&ked up as electro house records go.

Don’t expect a monophonic composition spanning semitones less that a hand’s length away from each other.

‘Bodycrash’ contains a dry-as-hell Commodore 64-style arpeggiator that flails randomly in true “S&H” style across the scale.

When you first hear it you’ll think, “What the fuck?” but after a phrase you’ll see that there is method in the madness.

‘Bodycrash’ is a bit of a magnum opus if anything – there really is so much going on in terms of layering, arrangement and sample choice – so if you’re the kind of tech DJ who can appreciate a hard day’s work in the studio then this is for you, but if you like to keep things simple then ‘Bodycrash’ might be a bit too overpowering.

To round off what to expect in this quite mental hybrid of organic and digital sounds: a blazing, abrasive, obese bassline that rubs its huge hiney all over the mix like a cat in heat, classic vocoder-style vocals that are completely unintelligible but strangely compelling nonetheless, gorgeous ethnic strings that wouldn’t seem out of place in Indiana Jones IV and, of course, a pounding 4/4 drum loop.
