For its eighth release, Plattenbank gives another glimpse towards the future,
presenting the debut artist EP from Tel Aviv-based up-and-comer Stephan Bazbaz.

Having become a fixture in his home city’s pulsating minimal & tech-house scene in
recent years, Stephan has learned his craft from the best, regularly sharing the stage
alongside such leading figures as Dusty Kid, Darren Price, Ellen Allien, Len Faki and
many more. After completing a degree in sound engineering, Stephan has recently
entered the world of music production, with his first release already appearing on
Ricky Ryan’s imprint Avangardia Records.

With appetites for his sound whetted,
Plattenbank dives deep into his refreshing groove-heavy style with a dedicated threetrack
EP, giving a foretaste of great waiting things just ahead.

“In the Redss” is a no-frills slice of agreeably melodic tech-house, which rides its
substantial low-end bulk while a harmonious structure gradually coalesces around the
rhythmic core. A more hypnotic approach to the dancefloor is felt in “Off the Lip, as
it uncompromisingly thrusts forward, combining an inherent sense for rousing techno
with a subtle trace of progressive constituents.

“Rough Mix 2” dives headfirst intothe depth of the night; centered around a narcotic tribal groove
, Stephan shrewdly nudges the song towards a captivating crest that will keep any dancefloor firmly in its grips.
