Blue Records landed in the 1990s and left a massive impact with the sounds of leading Dutch producers such as Klubbheads, Lock N Load and the delightfully named Itty Bitty Boozy Woozy.

These Dutch daredevils injected energy and zest into the scene with their distinctive, catchy and sample packed hard house helping cut out their own niche in the market and inspiring DJs and dancefloors alike.

The biggest hits on the compilation are probably the Klubbheads remix of the Mory Kante classic ‘Yeke Yeke’ and the Club Caviar remix of the Lock N Load crossover smash ‘Blow Ya Mind’.

But, in fairness, there’s a very healthy portion of genuine dancefloor classics from the 20 on offer here.

Others definitely worth checking out include the hip-hop vocal inspired numbers ‘Klubbhopping’ and ‘Kickin’ Hard’ by the Klubbheads, the rave horn fury of ‘The Ultimate Seduction’ and the percussive grooves and party vibes of Itty Bitty Boozy Woozy ‘Tempo Fiesta’.

Overall these tracks may sound a but dated compared to the wide ranging ‘Rave Attack - The Classics’ album also out recently, but if you want a complete chapter of action packed, fun filled hard house history, then look no further than ‘Hard House & Hard Club 1’.
