Blaze’s 1997 classic deep house track ‘Lovelee Dae’ gets a bunch of new remixes and a new title - ‘Lovelee Home’ [track No.3 in the player below]. Quite why OM Records decided to rename the track ‘Lovelee Home’ for the Funk D’Void (pictured) remix is not clear, but his version is staggeringly beautiful.

Warm pads, floating synths, the memorable vocal and old skool-sounding house rhythms make this an instant hit.

Some consider the remixing of classics sacrilege, but I am of the firm belief that old tracks should be reinterpreted for the modern audience.

Whilst it’s nice to think back to the good old rave days when supposedly everything was better (it wasn’t), there’s a whole new generation of clubbers out there who should be able to hear classics such as ‘Lovelee Day’ in a modern club environment.

Thank Funk D’Void and OM Records for bringing this important house record up to date.
