Bass on Her Face
Blatta and Inesha [Mantra Records]
29 March, 2007 | 11.00AM- Section: Music Reviews
Fresh from winning best label at Breakspoll Mantra release another breakbeat nugget on part two of their ‘Mad in Sicily’ samplers.
It’s Inesha and Blatta’s turn to step up and deliver.
‘Bass on her face’ is a highly addictive and hypnotic tune.
Essentially it’s a techno tune with big bouncy kicks, but hard distorted hats which make up a freakish breakish style beat.
Tickling plink plonk stabs, electro bass, and vocal samples all bound together with electronic technoid rhythms.
DJ duo Inesha and Blatta have managed to recreate the energy of their DJ sets with their very own tune; something which isn’t as easy as it sounds.
