Black Rose: Anthem

Black Rose: Anthem

Black Rose is the duo—the super-duo, if you will—of Henrik Schwarz [a] and Jesse Rose [a]; their debut collaboration is the unambiguously titled ”Anthem," a bouncy little number that you could almost call ska-house, if that didn’t sound so frightfully unappealing. In fact, the song, which liberally samples the great Barrington Levy, is a rather irresistible slice of summery good times, the kind of tune that open-air parties were invented for.

Rose’s Made To Play [l] label has come up with a cheeky little video to match. At 27,000 views and counting, it’s clear that this particular anthem does just what the title promises.
