“Tis the witching hour of night, Or bed is the moon and bright, And the stars they glisten, glisten, Seeming with bright eyes to listen For what listen they?”
Well… They listen to Bigger Than Jesus!
Hallelujaaaa…. Good old John Keats felt it coming on strong…
Wiccawiccawiccawoooooooonnnnggggg…
What feels like a rubber broomstick doing an eclectic workout on your head while brushing out the residues of last night’s excesses, is “Witch Kraft” in its purest form… The roaring bass get you rushing while the silvery synths let you shiver and the wicked notes of the evil chords swell up to such a trembling tremolo that you end up having a pseudo-religious experience: A wildly snickering witch beguiles you with her bare and hairy breasts, tweaking und toggling them right in front of you!!! Wigglywackiiiaaaak.
Welcome to the enchanting world of glowstick magic cast upon you by Bigger Than Jesus. Little did their poor mamas know that their sons were actually born with super rave powers, powers that would enable them to turn the dancefloors around the planet upside down, which is why they christened the two crazy party squirrels Nick and Pete –- who then went on a quest of sanctification and finally became Bigger Than Jesus.
Waving their state-of-the-art party paraphernalia while happy to spin some choonage that would even make Maria Magdalena gurn in ecstasy, they enchant with their smiley-go-lucky attitude… and with their not-quite-so-holy vibes… Playing clubs, massage parlours, and zoos around the planet, they even mash up Mormon sermons with their uniquely quirky style that owes a lot to those hard house sounds these two were raised on before gobbling up minimal techno snacks.
Being Bigger Than Jesus, it did not take long till they worked out how part the sea, share ambrosia with the masses, and even make music which led to a string of releases on labels as renowned as Silver Planet, Audiojack’s UFO and Denmark’s Tic Tac Toe. Then, in a truly sacred ceremony, they got signed to Germany’s Tendenzen Freier Entfaltung, and now they even use “Witch Kraft” to hyperactively jack the people, generously helped by Perc.
“Baby Hawkins” is Dr. Steven Hawkins’ clubby Alter Ego. It is down to him that time itself can be bent like a doughnut or the legs of a flexible lady flat on her back, speeding things up and slowing them down while whizzing hoovers make rounds on the dirty dancefloor and suck up chewing gums and other party residue until the universe implodes into a giant black hole. TFE’s Saint iBot offer a tripped out alternative take in which people disappear until Tuesday. True expert stylee.
Abracadabra…
